Team Wideopenmag

For 10 years, Team Wideopenmag were our guys and girls on the race scene. They repped Wideopen at the races, supported the UK scene and were our way of investing in young talent.

In that time we helped a huge list of British mountain bikers, aspiring media pros, mechanics, team managers and many others to gain experience and build a name for themselves on the scene – many of which went on to grow careers on two wheels. The list includes Laurie Greenland, Charlie Hatton, Mark Scott, Kelan Grant, Chris Cumming and many more.

2021 marked our final year for Team Wideopenmag, opting to retire the team on a high at the end of the season. You can read all about the final year of Team Wideopenmag here.

Dave Konstanz

Team Manager

Big Dave has the tough job of managing our squad of misfits. It’s his job to get everyone everything they need, on time and on budget. If you don’t find him in the pits at the DH races, he’ll be up the top of the hill getting the guys warmed up and ready to go.

James Farrow (Dru)

Mechanic

Dru (AKA James Farrow) is our Cornish downhill mechanic. He loves pasties, cider, rallying his camper-van and is a bloody excellent mechanic and hardtail racer. His pasty deliveries to every race are what has kept him on the roster for 2019.

Jamie Edwards

Editor

Between Jamie and Dave, they keep the team running like a well oiled machine. When he’s not bashing the keys keeping the website spinning, he’ll be in the field helping the team to the podium.
